Cronin & Sutton Consulting was appointed by the Land Development Agency to provide our services on the ongoing Devoy Barracks project. The c. 4.14 hectares former Army barracks site, is located on John Devoy Road, Naas, Co Kildare to the southwest of Naas Town Centre, and was made available by The Housing Agency Ireland with the transfer of lands from lands acquired via the Land Aggregation Scheme. A mix of 219 no. social and affordable A-rated residential units will be provided over a two-phase delivery with Phase 1 works currently underway.

The first phase of development will initially deliver 42 no. terraced houses and 56 no. duplex units, a total of 98 no. units, a 59-place childcare facility, and a green public open space to the west of the site, all ranging in height from two to five-storeys. Planning permission was obtained through the Strategic Housing Development (SHD) route. All of the three-bed houses will have gardens and solar panels while the apartments will feature balconies or terraces. On completion, this sustainability-driven development will include a total of 4,684 sq.m of communal open space, 314 car parking spaces, and 482 bicycle parking spaces.
