Egremont is a residential development located on Church Road in Killiney, Co. Dublin and comprises 47 no. BER A2 rated PassivHaus units. The units are a mix of 16 no. apartments, 16 no. duplexes, and 15 no. houses with varied garden spaces – public, private, and play which give a sense of community and ownership to the occupants. All units are PassivHaus certified as standard, with buyers given the option of upgrading to a PV and storage solution as an extra to attain net zero living within the development. The scheme will also feature sedum roofs and extensive soft landscaping, supporting biodiversity and enabling stormwater attenuation

The units are built with sustainability in mind from the outset with green roofs running through the site, among existing trees allowing views to the Wicklow mountains from all parts of the site. Internally the houses were designed to utilise solar gains, provide dual aspect views and cross-ventilation. All units were designed and constructed to PassivHaus standard, meaning they are energy-efficient, comfortable and cost-efficient.
