CS Consulting was appointed to this project via a PPP competition to provide Civil, Structural and Traffic Engineering services on the redevelopment of O’Devaney Gardens; a public housing scheme situated in the heart of Dublin city. The overall project involves the demolition of the existing structures and the construction of a mix of both social and affordable housing, for Dublin City Council and Bartra Capital Property respectively.

On completion, 50% of the homes will be delivered to Dublin City Council for social and affordable housing use. Additional cost rental homes will also be provided as part of the overall development. The units are designed to have RC piled foundations, RC Blade Columns, RC staircores and lift shafts, with steel cantilevered balconies.

Phase 1 of the project is currently underway, and on completion will provide 379 no. A-rated social, affordable and cost-rental homes, a crèche, retail units, a park and community space.
