Civil Engineer:

KP & Associates Consulting Engineers Ltd. are recruiting a Civil Engineer to join the team at their office at 19-22 Dame Street Dublin 2.

The role: working on challenging civil engineering design projects, from residential to multi-million Euro developments. Working on their own initiative and as part of design teams to deliver projects to Clients’ requirements. Ability to interact with a wide range of people including clients, consultants, contractors, and third parties.

This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week). Salary is €30k per annum.

Senior Structural Engineer required for a full time position.  Immediate start.

This role involves working on varied challenging structural design projects which vary from residential to multi-million euro commercial developments.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualities:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience and be chartered or near chartered with the Institute of Structural Engineers.
  • Will have a broad range of engineering design experience having worked on projects of varying size and type.  Previous experience on residential, hotel and commercial projects would be advantageous.
  • Be competent at structural engineering design in all common materials.
  • Must have previous experience in dealing with clients, contractors and design team members and be capable of representing the firm in design team and client meetings.
  • Be an excellent communicator in both written and verbal form. 
  • Be capable of managing themselves and a small team to take projects from inception to completion on site.
  • Have experience and knowledge of Structural Design Software, AutoCad, Microsoft Office applications desirable.
  • Will have the ability to co-ordinate and design information on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Be able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines, with limited supervision.

This position will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to develop as a professional engineer and to gain further experience on all aspects of running a small engineering practice, working on medium to large scale projects in Ireland.  The position may lead to associate level if the successful candidate can demonstrate the necessary skills.

Senior Civil Engineer

Cronin & Sutton Consulting are currently recruiting a Chartered Civil Engineer with a view to becoming part of the organisation at Associate Level depending on Experience and Qualifications to join the engineering team in Dublin.

The role will involve:

Working on their own initiative and as part of various design teams to deliver projects to Clients requirements.

Suitable Candidates should ideally have:

  • A level 8 qualification and a Chartered Engineer
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the design and management of Civil and Infrastructural projects.

Structural Engineer

This role involves working on varied challenging structural design projects, from residential to multi-million euro commercial developments. This role would suit an ambitious engineer looking to build excellent experience earlier in their career in Dublin’s top structural engineering consultancy.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualities:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in design of buildings to Eurocode standards;
  • Will have design experience having worked on projects of varying size and type.  Previous experience on residential, hotel and commercial projects would be advantageous.
  • Be competent at structural engineering design in all common materials.
  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Level 8 or higher)
  • Must have previous experience in dealing with clients, contractors and design team members and be capable of representing the firm in design team and client meetings.

Structural Engineering Technician Required.

Cronin & Sutton Consulting are currently recruiting a Structural Engineering Technician to join the engineering team in Dublin. 

A candidate fit for this position is required to have:

  •  A minimum of 15 years’ experience in preparing Structural General Arrangement Drawings and RC Detailing
  •  AutoCAD & CADS RC expertise is essential

CS Consulting Group are currently seeking a Structural Engineer/Graduate Structural Engineer to join our team in London.

The successful candidate will become a permanent member of a highly motivated and committed team who successfully deliver a variety of building structure projects. You will be involved in the design of structures across a number of sectors within the construction industry and have the opportunity to gain valuable design experience.

As a member of our team you will be working on the preparation and review of structural analysis and design calculations, assisting with the preparation of drawings for conceptual and detailed design, as well as regularly liaising with clients, the project team and local authorities.

To be successful in this role you should be comfortable running projects, attending and contributing to site and design team meetings, all with the support of experienced senior engineers.

Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor degree (Honours) in Structural Engineering.
  • 1 – 2 years Structural Engineering experience
  • Graduate membership of an appropriate professional institution (IStructE/ICE/EI), with an aim to achieve Chartership.
  • A strong analytical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles.
  • Demonstrable buildings-focussed structural engineering design experience.
  • A desire to work constructively in a team, finding holistic building design solutions in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • The ability to communicate clearly, through sketching, speaking and in writing, with clients and design teams.
  • Experience of undertaking steel and concrete design to Eurocodes, using structural analysis software.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to balance tasks and prioritise to meet strict deadlines.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in the use of Tekla Structural Designer would be an advantage.

 Clerk of Works / Site Representative/ Resident Engineer.

CSC require an ambitious Clerk of Works / Site Representative / Resident Engineer for multiple large residential and commercial projects throughout Dublin. The candidate will work with a dynamic team of engineers to ensure the our high-profile projects are delivered in accordance with statutory regulations and to our high standards. The successful candidate will be exposed to a variety of exciting jobs from residential schemes to inner city basements to office projects to nursing homes etc

Duties

  • Monitor all site works to ensure compliance with the new BCAR regulations;
  • Carry out Inspection Reports in compliance with the Project Inspection Plan;
  • Carry out re-bar inspections pre-pour;
  • Liaise with the Design Engineers during the erection of the structural frame;
  • Liaise with the Contractor, Assigned Certifier and Design Team;
  • Attend progress meetings and ensure all reported issues are properly dealt with in a timely manner;
  • Update the Client and Project Manager on site progress.

Requirements;

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Foreman, Site engineer, Clerk of works, Site Manager, Design Engineer, Resident Engineer;
  • Hold relevant qualifications and Health and Safety requirements;
  • Experience on both new-build and refurbishment projects;
  • Candidates applying must be have practical IT skills and be able to use various software packages to accurately update data.
