The completed development at Cherry Lane in Cherrywood, Dublin 18 features 87 townhouses, 44 duplexes, and 26 apartments. Cronin & Sutton Consulting was engaged as the Civil & Structural Engineer for this project. We worked closely with the Client, Evara, and the Local Authority, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, in advance of progressing this development to agree on the masterplan for the roads and drainage infrastructure on all Evara lands in Cherrywood. This development included the design and construction of all internal roads and site infrastructure. We have been working on the overall infrastructure in the area on a site-by-site basis for Evara.

The townhouses in Cherry Lane are timber frame construction while duplexes and apartments are traditional masonry construction with precast hollow-core floors. Regarding infrastructure and landscaping elements, the entire site was located in a valley and was filled up with improved ground using lime soil stabilisation techniques. This resulted in stable ground to support the foundation's ground floor slabs without ground settlement issues.
