The re-development of the former O'Devaney Gardens social housing development sees the delivery of 1,044 A-rated social, affordable, cost rental and private homes in the Dublin 7 area. The development was delivered in 4 phases including an intensive site infrastructure and enabling works contract, for which we provided contract administration services, as well as civil, structural and traffic services. The development also features two new parks, dedicated cultural and community spaces, shops, a café and a crèche.

The project is one of Europe’s most sustainable developments. A key feature of the development is that the land usage has been optimised for living not driving. Located immediately adjacent to key national transport infrastructure, and less than 3km from O’Connell Street, O’Devaney Gardens is a much greener and socially integrated place to live. Residents have access to a Car Sharing Club providing hybrid and electric vehicles to help residents travel in a more eco-friendly and sustainable fashion. The apartments units are BER A-rated units, constructed using modern methods of construction (MMC), namely pre-cast concrete frames constructed off-site. This minismised traffic, waste and overall construction activity on-site during construction.
