WAREHOUSE DEVELOPMENT
Status: Under Construction
Client: Cuddy QS
Size/ Area: 4800 sq.m
This project involved the construction of a new 4,800 m² warehouse extension for CJ Sheeran Timber Packaging & Pallets within their live timber manufacturing facility. The scope included the installation of specialist internal infrastructure protection systems together with associated external civil infrastructure works, all delivered while maintaining uninterrupted operation of the existing production plant.
Given the live operational environment, a detailed construction phasing and logistics strategy was developed to safely segregate construction activities from manufacturing operations throughout the programme. Critical utility diversions, including power, drainage, water, compressed air, and dust extraction systems, were carefully planned and implemented in a series of controlled phases to minimise operational risk.
A comprehensive survey of the existing facility was undertaken at the outset to accurately establish the interface between the new and existing structures. This enabled precise coordination of the works, reduced the risk of clashes, and ensured efficient integration with the operational facility. Through close collaboration between the project team and the client, all service diversions were completed without unplanned disruption to manufacturing activities, allowing the facility to remain fully operational throughout construction.
